About Kate
My name is Kate Miranda! I am an undergraduate nursing student at Pace University and also in the Pforzheimer Honors College. I have been chosen as the Freshmen Representative of NSNA and social media chair of the Programming Board. I’m passionate about improving patient experiences while admitted and after being discharged. I have served as Student Body President of Tappan Zee High School and treasurer of Tappan Zee High School’s Mu Alpha Theta chapter.
Greatest Accomplishment
My biggest accomplishment so far is becoming the student body president of my high school. Although I only became president as a senior, I’ve been in the student government since I was a freshman, starting out as a delegate for my graduating class. This is my greatest accomplishment because it shows how much I’ve grown as a person. I was always very shy and reserved, but becoming student body president shows how proactive and outgoing I am now.
Hobbies
Some of my hobbies include making art. Whether it be paintings, sculptures, collages, or photography, I love to create. Recently, I've been interested in sewing and building things, such as an outdoor cat house. I also love spending time with my friends at our dinner parties, parks, or anywhere.
